2018 Changes: Manufacturing and Education Process for our Prebiotics, Probiotics and More
With 2018 comes many exciting new changes and improvements as we unify under the Klaire Labs brand and guiding philosophies of purity, potency, and performance. As part of this process, our educational outreach, including the newsletters, will be refreshed with the goals of discussing timely clinical topics, addressing common practice challenges, and being mindful of the environment:
Clinical Concepts
As a supplement manufacturer, regulatory guidance requires that we do not make claims to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease. In fact, we are restricted from using disease language in product labeling entirely, including all branded communications vehicles such as websites and newsletters. In order to adhere to this “structure-function” language requirement, we will focus our newsletter articles on mechanisms-of-action, industry trends, and practice-building topics. Moreover, we will limit all overt disease state discussions to third-party contributions in familiar publications such as Holistic Primary Care, Naturopathic Doctor News and Review, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, IntegrativePractitioner.com, and others. In this way, we can freely discuss the clinical topics important to you outside of the restrictions associated with product branding. We hope you have enjoyed our recent contributions to these respected periodicals.
Clean & Green
One of our primary initiatives for 2018 and beyond is the commitment to a clean and green philosophy. As we continue to transfer product manufacturing to our new, purpose-built, cGMP facility, we are evaluating each formula through the Klaire Labs lens of purity and potency. Wherever feasible, we will minimize or eliminate unnecessary additives-such as potential allergens, fillers, flow agents, and artificial colors and flavors-while optimizing each formulation with the most potent and bioavailable active ingredients available. In this same spirit, we will be moving away from the environmental burden posed by unnecessary packaging and paper-based communications. As such, our newsletters will be delivered quarterly, exclusively in digital format from this point forward, while still PDF-friendly for those who prefer a print option.
Connection
Another positive change you will see in the coming year is a concerted effort to connect more closely with practitioners dedicated to integrative medicine. We plan to present compelling topics at conferences, sponsor thoughtful and innovative educational programs, develop more personalized and interactive webinars and podcasts, host Open House events, and become a more consistent and valued contributor to the industry and to you.
We hope you are as enthusiastic about these changes as we are. We look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event and encourage you to reach out directly with any thoughts, questions, or recommendations.
